Then it was summer

Well I know it's been a long while since my last post. I've been meaning to post my rides. So this is my summer catch up post.

Uncle Wally and I've gone on roughly 4 weekend rides. My first ride I went solo and ran out of gas in Bancroft. Ran it up north near Van Buren too.

Few others for summer.

New jets

Welp... it's the best time of year for some. For me, it's the beginning of winter. However, I've been busy.
I decided my carb needed new jets and not spring for a needle too. So I ended up ordering a 48 and a 45 pilot, as well as a 160. 180 and a 185 main jet.
I had 45/175 going and upped to 48/185. So far seems good at 2.5 turns out on the idle. But it's getting colder.

Running again

Just in time for the last few weeks before the snow flies. That first ride is so exhilarating.

Gasket and cams

Well finally got the gasket. Turns out I already had one. Argh... now I have an extra. Oh well I'll use the thicker one.

A small problem

A couple weeks ago I ordered some struts which didn't fit. There is a picture. So I had to send them back.

I also messed up my rocker arm and had to get a new rocker arm spacer and spring.

Unfortunately I'm still waiting on my new gasket. Luckily I've got dads 74 honda cb four to ride.

Clean ride

Had to clean it up after all those miles yesterday. Gas, oil, grease cleaned off.

Million dollar view

Went for a nice long ride today. Should've taken more pictures but when I'm having fun I always forget.

So here we have about seven million dollars worth of photos.

I plan on taking them down to the bank on Monday.

A nice cruise today

Today Uncle Wally and I went for a ride. About 76 miles down and another back. Saw Mount Katahdin at a scenic stop.

We had to get lunch, so we stopped at a fine diner in Sherman next to Patton. There's a bike club that's in Matahwamkeg that we went by, but I wasn't paying attention so I missed it.

Anyway here are a few pictures to go with the story.

New parts

I ordered my kickstart kit and forward controls today. I figured my birthday is coming up and I deserve new parts.

Tinkering tonkering

The oil was fine, but I changed it anyway. I wanted to make sure the filter was fresh. So today my uncle and I took off for a 50 mile ride through the countryside.

Returned. Glass of water. Decided to head out for more. Click click click... Time for a new battery. That battery had been abused and defeated.

My concerns about my generator and voltage regulator have been put to rest as the system was charging. Even before a full charge was put on.
