Paint job is complete

Well now that the paint is done I've only got a set of struts to get fabricated and painted black. Then I get to slap it all back together, but with 10 inches of snow that hit the round today I don't think I'm going to be in much of a rush.

Last night they polished everything up and got any scuffs and minor imperfections out of it. Should be looking pretty nice when I pick them up.

Double primed, 2 coats of black, then 1 or 2 coats of metallic black, 2 coats of clear, 2 cloats of black cherry and 2 or 3 more coats of clear and she's finished. It looks black but in the sun you see slight flakes of black and a slight shimmer of a dark dark red. I like it.

Engine is in

Alright, this morning I finally got the test strut made. Turns out ten inches is as low as I can go. Any lower and the tire will hit the frame. Here's the most recent shot of the Engine back in the frame. Might be able to fire it up in a week by setting up a mock oil pan. The tins are going to be a couple more weeks I assume before they are finished. I need a time machine.

January teardown

The apes had to go...

Hello Z bars!

I love this view so much. HA!

August 2011 Couple more

When I had 14" narrowglide apes. Not a big fan. Love the Avon Speedmaster Mark II's though.

A few older snaps from before

This is what it looked like when I bought it. Not too bad. Pretty far from where I want to be though.

Ready for paint...

So the bike is in Westbrook, Maine, but all of my tins are sitting in a small little shop down south in Dover, NH. I had to stop by today to deliver some tires and they had filled in some minor dents with filler. Next is a prime coat probably by the end of the week.

I still can't decide what color to go with. I'm thinking black with red.
